Our Services.

Sleep Support

For newborns, toddlers and teenagers, sleep is our specialty. Our responsive and proactive approach to improving sleep acknowledges that the skill of sleep is a basic human need fundamental to creating a life-long, contented mind space.

Learn More

We deliberately prioritise the importance of sleep in achieving overall mental health. The benefits of a good night’s sleep cannot be overestimated and science is showing us this in increasingly detailed, neurological investigations into how the brain works in relation to sleep.

Sleep is a skill which can be trained and learned by newborns, children and young adults alike. We have developed a caring and responsive approach to teaching this skill, proactively and in response to difficulty.

Our goal is to prevent sleep problems by addressing them even before a baby is born, and our group education classes at Adelaide Obstetrics and Fertility facilitate this where we help parents to understand the steps they can take to support the development of healthy sleep patterns. Equally, we present a solution to any existing sleep problems and offer guided and individualised support through our method via phone, in-clinic or private in-home consultations.

If you are experiencing the all-consuming fog of not sleeping, either personally or because of a baby, we exist to help you. Assure you that there is hope and, show you the solution.

Paediatric Clinical Counselling

One-on-one in-clinic or online clinical counselling to help children uncover, understand and untangle individual emotions and behaviours. Our wholistic approach combines modern, psychological inquiry with scientifically validated research which is presented in a completely personalised path to sustained mental wellness to benefit the whole family.

Learn More

We take a wholistic approach to ongoing mental health. Caring to understand your personal context, and the relationships that define this, our goal is to instill a calm confidence in your family’s approach to life. Our psychological method draws on evidence-based therapeutic interventions and best-practice techniques along with information from parents or caregivers, the child and other allied health professionals where appropriate. We always establish clear goals that help to guide ongoing support consultations.

Calm Space Psychology works with babies, children and adolescents together with their families to provide a range of specialised support services. We encourage children and their families through life changes and challenges, offering guidance for;
/ Developing healthy routines
/ Sleep disturbance
/ Behavioural management
/ Parenting support
/ Anxiety
/ Separation anxiety
/ Depression

We help children to thrive by establishing a platform for fundamental wellness that includes sleeping well, eating well and moving regularly. We have seen that this wellness platform establishes a wonderful foundation and calm space for other interventions to take place.
